I’m Coming for Everything That’s Mine in 2025, Here’s How You Can Too”
Dec 14, 20242025 is my year to reclaim everything that’s mine.
No fear.
No doubts about my authenticity.
No one else’s limitations dictating my choices.
Reclamation of my time.
Reclamation of my worth.
Reclamation of every opportunity that has my name on it.
For years, fear held me back, fear of being “too much,” fear of failure, fear of what people would think if I went all in. I dimmed my light to make others comfortable and convinced myself I was being “realistic.” But playing small doesn’t serve anyone, least of all me.
This year, I’m moving with intentionality, visible, impactful, connected, and fearless. I’m stepping into my power with clarity, boldness, and intentionality. If you’ve ever felt stuck, undervalued, or unsure of your next move, this is your invitation to rewrite your story and claim everything that’s yours in 2025.
Why Fear Holds Us Back: A Story of Playing Small
A few years ago, I was sitting in a meeting, bursting with ideas for how to solve a problem my team had been wrestling with for months. I’d spent hours researching, brainstorming, and mapping out solutions. But when it was time to speak up, I stayed silent.
Why? Fear.
Fear whispered: “What if your idea isn’t good enough?” “You’re not ready.”
It shouted: “What if they think you’re
It shouted: “What if they think you’re overstepping?”
And it sneered: “You don’t belong in this room anyway.”
So I stayed quiet, and someone else shared an idea, one that wasn’t nearly as thought-out as mine. But they spoke up with confidence, and they got the credit.
That moment taught me something painful: fear doesn’t just keep you small. It keeps you invisible.
If you’re tired of fear dictating your choices, it’s time to change the narrative. Fear isn’t real. It’s a story we tell ourselves, and we have the power to rewrite it.
But here’s the truth: Fear is a story we tell ourselves. And most of the time, it’s not even true.
What’s Holding You Back?
Let’s be honest: fear is one of the biggest reasons we don’t go after what we want.
Maybe you’re scared of rejection.
Maybe you’re worried you’ll fail.
Maybe you’re afraid of being labeled “too ambitious.”
Whatever your story is, I want you to know this: fear is a liar. It will keep you in jobs you hate, relationships that drain you, and situations that no longer serve you.
When I let fear drive, here’s what my life looked like:
• Playing it safe in my career.
• Saying yes to work that didn’t fulfill me.
• Shrinking to make others comfortable.
• I stayed in roles that felt like dead ends because I was scared of starting over.
• I avoided opportunities because I doubted I could deliver.
• I downplayed my accomplishments to avoid standing out.
But not anymore.
In 2025, I’m rewriting that story.
How to Move With Intentionality in 2025
If you want something different, you have to move differently. That’s why 2025 is all about intentionality for me. I’m not waiting for opportunities to find me or hoping someone will see my value. I’m showing up visible, impactful, connected, and fearless.
Here’s how I’m stepping into everything that’s mine and how you can too.
1. Get Clear on What You Want
If you don’t have clarity, you can’t set a direction.
Clarity is the foundation of intentionality. If you don’t know where you’re going, how can you create a plan to get there? tI’s uncomfortable to admit you’re not where you want to be, but it’s the first step to building a roadmap to your future.
Start by asking yourself:
• What do I really want in 2025?
• What do I really want in my career?
• Where do I want to be 12 months from now?
• What’s been holding me back, and how can I overcome it?
Journaling these questions will help you uncover what matters most to you.
For me, clarity came when I got brutally honest about what wasn’t working in my life. I wrote down everything that frustrated me, dead-end projects, toxic environments, feeling overlooked, and then I asked myself, “What would the opposite of this look like?”
2. Set Aligned Goals
Aligned goals aren’t resolutions like “work harder” or “make more money.”
They’re:
• Specific: What do you want to achieve?
• Actionable: What steps will you take to get there?
• Connected to your values: Why does this matter to you?
Example: “Earn a promotion to Director-level by September 2025 so I can shape company strategy.”
3. Audit Your Habits
Your habits are the building blocks of your success, or the barriers to it.
When I looked at my habits, I realized I was spending hours scrolling through social media, procrastinating on meaningful work, and saying “yes” to things that didn’t align with my goals.
If you want to move differently in 2025, you need to audit your habits:
• What am I spending my time on?
• Does this align with my goals?
• What habits do I need to build, or break?
For me, that meant setting boundaries, prioritizing deep work, and scheduling time for rest so I could show up as my best self.
4. Build Strategic Relationships
Success isn’t a solo journey. You need people in your corner who can guide, support, and champion you.
In 2025, focus on building your network intentionally:
- Seek out mentors who can provide guidance.
- Build a Personal Board of Directors—people who hold you accountable and cheer you on.
- Nurture relationships with colleagues who amplify your impact.
The connections you make this year could open doors you didn’t even know existed.
5. Take Bold, Fearless Action
Here’s the secret: You’ll never feel “ready.”
The key is to move anyway.
Whether it’s applying for a stretch role, speaking up in meetings, or building your personal brand, every small step will build your confidence.
When I started taking bold action, applying for stretch roles, speaking up in meetings, and building my personal brand, I discovered a new level of confidence. Every small step added up to massive momentum.
If fear is holding you back, ask yourself:
• What’s the worst that could happen?
• What’s the best that could happen?
• What action can I take today to move closer to my goal?
Manifest Your Vision: The Power of a Vision Board
Let me take you back to 2020—a year that tested my resilience. I was stuck in a job that drained me, doubting my abilities, and struggling to see a way out. That’s when a friend mentioned vision boarding. At first, I dismissed it. Could cutting out pictures and affirmations really make a difference?
But I tried it, and everything changed.
On my vision board, I put images and words that represented the life I wanted:
• A title that reflected my worth.
• A picture of a passport because I wanted to travel more.
• Affirmations like “I am worthy of success” and “I am a leader in my field.”
By the end of the next year? I’d achieved everything I’d visualized.
How Vision Boarding Anchors Your Goals
- When you visually represent your goals, it helps you:
- Focus on your aspirations: A vision board keeps your goals top of mind, even on tough days.
- Tap into your emotional “why”: Seeing your dreams in color reignites your drive to push through obstacles.
- Reinforce your beliefs: Creating a vision board rewires your brain to believe your goals are achievable.
How to Create Your 2025 Vision Board
